Makenna
Makenna is so crazy. Lately she has been doing weird things. Whenever I ask her to bring me something, she will get it and bring it to me. But before she will hand it to me she holds it behind her back and says, "Makenna Lynn Larsen, Makenna Lynn Larsen...Okay you can have it." I have no idea why she does this, but it's hilarious...sometimes annoying, but mostly hilarious. Her favorite movie right now is Mulan. She is obsessed with it and we watch it all the time. Thank goodness I like it too. She also loves dressing up and talking on the phone! She has been a good helper with Bryn. She sure does love her little sister. Also...she is all about "do-it-myself." She wants to buckle the top of her carseat all by herself, go potty, and climb into bed. She says her night time prayers all by herself. It is so funny because she blesses different people every night. Last night it was grammy Catherine and papa Barry. The night before that it was grammy, grammy gloria and daddy. Whatever happened to blessing Mommy! haha. She also loves to draw, color, use foam letters, and anything that is artsy. She loves to have make-up put on her as well.

Dentist
Makenna went to the dentist today. It was her 2nd time. She went last year when I worked at the dental office. This was her first visit to this dentist though. She did so awesome and loved being there. The hygienist gave her sunglasses to wear so the light wouldn't be bright in her eyes. She did awesome during the x-rays and let the dr. and hygienist look in her mouth. She didn't have any cavities which is great. The dentist was really nice. I really liked their office....so if you are looking for a good pediatric dentist...let me know! Since Makenna was a new patient she got a big goodie bag to take. They gave her a purple dress-up ring which she loved. She also got a toothbrush, toothpaste, red floss, a timer to time how long she brushes her teeth and a t-shirt that has the dentist office name on it. Makenna loves the dentist!
The Bachelor
Oh my goodness! So I was happy for all of like 2 minutes. I was so happy Melissa won. She would make a great mom and was totally perfect for him. Molly seems so immature. I don't know what it is about her, but I don't like her. I can't believe he changed his mind after 6 weeks. It wasn't even a full 6 weeks. He was so in love with Melissa and telling Molly that he wasn't making a mistake. Then has the guts to dump Melissa and not even that...go running back to Molly wanting her to come back to him. I can't believe she agreed to go back to him. I mean...I know she still have the feelings of love towards him but come on! He dumped her another woman telling her that Melissa made him more happy. So I guess Molly enjoys sloppy seconds. Errr I really liked Jason and thought he was a great guy. But...I don't really think that anymore!

Update on our Life
Today Bryn went for an ultrasound to make sure all her reproductive organs are present. Afterwards she went to see the urologist so he could look over the pictures and check things. Bryn passed with flying colors. So another thing checked off the list. Bryn is slowly but surely growing. She finally weighs over 10 pounds. Through a long story, a bad nurse and a few phone calls...we took Bryn to see an ENT(ears, nose, throat dr.). She has been congested from the day she was born and it has gotten so bad. So bad that she can't sleep at night because she basically stops breathing and has to figure out how to breathe through her mouth. Babies are pretty much wired to breathe through their nose when they are really young so they can breathe while eating (bottle/nursing). We took her to an ENT and he told us that her symptoms sound like reflux. He also wants to have her scoped ( a scope through her nose and throat) to check out everything and see how it is formed. He wrote her a prescription for a reflux medication. It has seemed to help a lot with her spitting up issues and is slowly, but surely helping her breathe a little bit better. She also breathes a ton better when it is super cold. But other than those things... and her hands... Bryn is 'A' okay. She sure has been a difficult little child, but we still love her!
Makenna loves her little sister so much. It has been awesome to see how much she loves her. Also... Makenna is one of the smartest 3 year old kids I know. It is unbelievable how awesome she is at puzzles, she knows and can recognize her ABC's and is learning how to spell her name. I asked her the other night a few questions about herself...
- what is your favorite color? white and grey
- what is your favorite animal? rhinoceros
- what is your favorite thing to do? sidewalk chalk and bubbles
- what is your favorite ice cream? chocolate cookies (cookies and cream)
I also asked her to tell me a happy story about herself. She told me "my daddy took me to get chocolate cookies and we went to Wal-Mart!"
Haha...she loves going to Wal-Mart and Target. She loves to get all her dress-up clothes on and her purse and tell me bye...I'm going to Wal-Mart. She is a crack-up!

The Thompson's
Today we had the awesome opportunity of meeting Catherine, Brad and Amelia Thompson. They are from Texas and I met them online. I found Catherine's blog a few months ago. Her daughter was born with radial dysplasia and had the pollicization surgery that Bryn is probably going to have. (The surgery where the dr. moves the index down into the thumb position.) We haven't decided 100% yet if we are going to do it, but we are about 90% sure we are. Catherine and her husband are originally from Oklahoma and came back up to visit family. We were able to meet them for lunch and see their daughters hand in person. It was so awesome to see her move her thumb and see how she used it. She is 22 months old. She had the surgery done when she was 16 months old. She has scaring, but that is normal with any surgery. You have to give her hand a double take to even notice she only has 3 fingers and a thumb. It was so awesome. It made me feel really good about wanting to do the surgery. Their family is so sweet and so helpful with all of our quesitons. Amelia is such a sweetheart! We hope that we can get together again.

3 year olds!
Tonight we went over to Tyler's parents house for dinner. During dinner Makenna said she needed to go potty and didn't want any help. So she went into the potty and was in there for awhile. I had Tyler go in and check on her and this is what happened!
Tyler: Makenna what are you doing?
Makenna: Reading the newspaper on the potty...go away!
Haha...He opened the door to Makenna sitting on the toilet reading the best buy ads. It was hilarious. What 3 year olds learn from their daddies. Haha...Tyler always takes in reading material!

They Grow Up So Fast!

The dr. gave her spongebob band-aids...it was perfect!

The girls had their well-child check-ups yesterday. Brynlee had her 2 month and weighed 9 lbs. 12 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches long. She is in the 10% for weight and 34% for height...so needless to say she is tiny. She got shots also. She did really well. Of course she screamed bloody murder, but it didn't take long to calm her down and she slept for a long time after. Her legs are sore, but giving her a little bit of tylenol helps! Makenna had her 3 year and weighed 31 lbs. and was 37 inches tall! She is in the 50% for weight and 42% for height. I have small girls! The dr. said both girls looked great. Bryn does need to go have physical therapy on her neck. She has really tight muscles on her left side that pulls her head down. I am so glad we have such a great pediatrician. He sat and talked with us forever and answered all my questions. I am paranoid about the girls and he never made me feel like I was stupid for the questions I had. I'm glad Bryn is at least growing. She may be tiny, but she is steadily putting on the weight. She loves to smile and has been a pretty good baby lately. For about 5 nights she slept amazing...8pm-5am. But the past few nights...no matter what...she is up at 1:30am. Oh well.

Tornados!!!
So this was the first time I have ever totally freaked out about a storm. We were told to get in our shelter and stay there. We got in and the first storm passed...then we came out. A few minutes later a stronger storm came and we got back in! Now we are watching the news just waiting for all the storms to pass. We had golf ball size hail...I have never seen hail that big before. I got both the girls and went under our stairway. That is the safest place in our home. You are supposed to go in the most center part of your home on the lowest floor away from windows. About 3-4 miles north and 1 mile west of us was hit pretty hard. It is a really nice neighborhood on the golf course that was hit really bad. It is so scary! Hopefully we will continue to be safe overnight. February is not a month where we really have tornados. May is usually the best month for them. My cousin lives a few miles away and she is without power because the power lines all by her house are down. Super scary!

Right Now
So this probably won't happen again tomorrow or even last extremely long tonight...but Bryn has been happy hanging out in her swing now for about 30 minutes! I can't believe it. She has never been this happy just chilling on her own ever! Plus...she NEVER liked her swing...not even for a minute!
Also...the dr. had a start a new formula with Bryn today to see if it would help with her throwing up, upset tummy and constipation. But guess what? It smells horrible. I know formula doesn't smell great, but at least the GoodStart was tolerable. This new kind stinks SOOOO bad. Poor Bryn. I hope it helps her tummy though! I can't stand to see her in so much pain!

Emotions
Man... exhaustion can do a lot of things to a person. My parents came into town Saturday afternoon for Bryn's blessing. They left this morning. Saturday and Sunday night we were up late visiting. Of course...shortly after I would go to bed Bryn would wake up and want to eat. Seeing family is always so fun so it is sad to see them go. It was a bummer to take them to the airport this morning. Also with being so tired and run down I have just cry at the drop of a hat. I took Bryn to the dr. this morning because she was not breathing real good yesterday and was throwing up and I cried at the dr.'s office. I cried when I dropped my parents off...I cried at an appt today and all through Wal-Mart. I think I am emotionally and physically run down. Plus...just started a new medicine that is making me emotional! Ugh...I am looking forward to the day that Bryn might sleep a little longer at night!
Ps...Blessing pictures to come!
