Bath Time

Kisses! Haha...Bryn thought I said blow kisses so she started to blow a kiss and Kenna went in to kiss her! It's cute!
The other night we had some time to spare so I let the girls play in the bath. Usually bath time is a "get in, get out" type of deal. But that night I let the girls use their bath toys and hang out. Both of them had a blast splashing water everywhere. Makenna used her crayons and drew on the walls and Bryn was playing with her keys. Makenna loves to do things with Bryn. She loves to take baths with her, dress alike and play together. She is a great big sister. Bryn also loves to follow Makenna around and do whatever she does!

So Cute

Tonight Makenna was drawing pictures of herself and the family. I wish I would have brought it home with us, but I didn't. Anyways...she drew a picture of herself in red and then put a green spot on her forehead. I asked who she drew and she said, "I drew me mommy (and pointed the the green spot and said) with my hemangioma. It was so cute. Ever since she was little we acted like her "birthmark" was no big deal, because it's not. Kids would poke at it and ask her what happened and she would say it was a kiss from her Papa Beals. As she got a little older we taught her the correct name for it. I am so happy that she is comfortable in her own skin and it doesn't bother her. I make sure everyday to tell my kids how beautiful and wonderful they are. Now when I say, "Makenna...do you know that you are beautiful?" she says, "Yes Mom!! I know!!" haha!

15 Month Check-Up

Bryn had her 15 month well child check today. She is about 19.5 lbs. That puts her in the 4th percentile. I didn't get her height so I will have to get that when I go back to the dr. She got 2 shots today. She did very well with them. She recently had a double ear infection and is still on antibiotics. The dr. checked her ears and said there is still a little bit a fluid in her ears and said if she is still congested when the antibiotics end to bring her back in. She has her barium enema next week. Other than those 2 things...the dr. said she is doing great!!

Lately

Bryn has started giving kisses. Today I asked her to give her baby doll kisses and she did. It was so cute. She loves carrying around baby dolls.

Makenna has been speaking wolf a lot lately. I don't know where she learned to do that, but she loves howling. She still loves school. They had an event at school yesterday where the kids got to wear their pj's to school and the school provided a pancake lunch. She was so excited to wear her jammies.

Tyler graduates in a little over 12 weeks!

Today was a great day to be outside and the girls and enjoyed 3 hours out at the park! Bryn loved being at the park and walking around!

Walking

I have been waiting to post this for awhile now. I didn't want to jinx anything. But I think I am in the clear. Bryn has started walking. She has been able to to walk for a little bit now. I guess it was a few weeks ago...maybe beginning of Jan. that Bryn started taking a step or 2 at a time. As the weeks have gone on, she has slowly but surely walked more! The past few days she has been a walking machine. She seems to be more daring and tries really hard to keep her balance. Her feet are big and fat :) and she doesn't fit in a lot of the shoes I had for Makenna. So we went shoe shopping today for her. I was happy to see the Payless had BOGO event. I got 2 pairs of shoes for the price of one at Target. We tried on every shoe they had at Target and her foot is so tall, brick foot, that it didn't fit in the shoe. At Payless though, she was able to fit into a 4wide! haha. Big foot, small body. I am excited to see my little girl growing up. She is so amazing. She is so smart already...she is going to be a tough one to handle! I am not sure if I am ready yet! haha. She will give me a run for my money! She loves her big sister so much and Makenna has been so good with her in trying to teach her how to walk. She still isn't an amazing walker, but she is getting there. It is so awesome to see her wobble around!
