Makenna, Bryn and Cash on the tube
On Saturday May 26, 2012...Makenna lost her first tooth. She was supposed to be taking a nap. I had wiggled her tooth that morning and it was loose, but still had a long time before it would come out. Jenn, Nicole and I went out to the deck to lay out and a little while later Kenna came out with Ryder. They said Kenna had lost her tooth. Kenna was grinning and there was blood pouring out of her mouth. I couldn't believe her tooth came out. She said she pulled it out. Then I asked where it was and she said that she dropped it and couldn't find it. We all went in and searched the room. I had finally found it on the floor. The root was pretty much still there. I still was in disbelief that she had lost her tooth. A couple hours later when we were on the boat, it finally came out that she had a blanket in her mouth and Ryder pulled the blanket and her tooth fell out. Hopefully her big tooth grows in ok.

Bryn was a cuddle bug with Nicole
Makenna loved playing on Nicole's phone

For Memorial Day weekend we headed to the lake with the Jeffries and Tyler's cousin Nicole. Saturday we went out on the boat in the morning and let the kids swim. We also went out again that night. Sunday we fed the fish and played outside. Monday we went on the boat for a bit and then came home to clean up and head back to the city. The kids tubed, jumped off the boat and swam. We had a good time. I sure love going to the lake!

Eating lunch at the park for their picnic

On May 21, 2012, Makenna graduated from Kindergarten. I can't believe the year is over. My baby girl is going to be a first grader! How did this happen?!  Her school had a short, but sweet graduation ceremony. They sang a little song and then were all handed their certificates. After the promotion the kids changed clothes and went to the park for a picnic and to play. Kenna had a fun time playing with her friends. Unfortunately her best friend, Ryder, fell and broke his arm that day. Kenna was super concerned about him. I checked her out of school, most of the kids checked out after the park, and we headed to the store. We bought a present for Ryder and then went and got ice cream. Kenna and I laid out in the backyard and talked. She is so funny. She was telling me that her favorite color was orange. She told me she was going to miss school because she loves to read. I told her it was ok because we would read all through the summer. When Ryder got home we took him over his gift. Makenna took care of him and was his nurse. It was pretty cute to see. I'm so proud of you Kenna. Congrats on finishing kindergarten.

Tyler's Accident

The other driver didn't have as much damage. It busted out her back window and dented up the back, but it was drivable. Tyler hit the back left corner.
On May 11, 2012, Tyler was in a car accident. We had plan to go to dinner and bowling with some friends. I had dropped the girls off at the YMCA for a parents night out at 6:30. I jumped in the car with our friends and at 6:35 I got a call from Tyler. He said he had been in an accident and was okay, but needed me to come get him. We turned around and I got my car and drove to find him. It had been raining and the roads were slick. He was headed to meet me for our date. A lady pulled out of her housing addition and turned left in front of him. She might have cleared his path, but because of the rain, she spun out. She did a 360 and landed back in Tyler's lane. He tried to move, but there was no where he could go. He ended up plowing right into her. Not much damage happened to her car, but his whole front end was smashed. It was not drivable. It was not his fault and her insurance has now accepted liability. Tyler is driving a rental. The insurance did not total his truck and just started repairs this week. A total bummer since his truck was only a couple months. He had gotten it brand new. We are both glad that he is okay.
