Yes...I have been feeling nauseous. Haven't thrown up yet...so that is good :)
I am only about 1 month and 1 week along. I know it's really early to start telling people, but I couldn't wait!
We will be excited for a boy or girl! I do think Tyler would like a boy, even though he loves his little girl so much!
Keep checking the blog because I am sure there will be many more pregnancy posts over the next 9 months!

Round #2!!!

Tyler, Makenna and I are expecting an addition to our family December 3, 2008!!! We are very excited, a little nervous and extremely grateful to be blessed with the opportunity to raise another child! Makenna has brought so much joy and stress :) to our lives and we wouldn't change it for the world!

What a Girl!

She said, "Mommy...Look at my back!"

Wow...What a silly girl! She has her "swimming pools" on with the top inside out. She had her Dora slippers and glasses, her scrunchies that her grammy brought back from Jamaica on her arms and her ducky cup from grammy Catherine! She loves to dress up and where whatever is in her dress up drawer. She never ceases to amaze me!

Swimming Pools!

I bought Makenna this new bathing suit. It fits her perfectly because it has giraffes on it and she loves animals. She likes to call her bathing suits swimming pools!
I asked her to smile!
Then I said turn around and show me the back and she stuck out her bum!
I then asked her to pose and then is what she gave me!
What a silly girl!

TORNADO!!!!

Last night we had some major thunder storms hit our area. I woke up about 1 am and turned on the news. They said that it was just a severe storm with lots of rain, hail and strong winds, but no tornados...so I went back to sleep. I woke up this morning to my mother-in-law calling me. She asked if we were okay and I was like...Yea why? Last night a tornado hit Tyler's sister's house and they lost their power and my in-laws lost their power as well. Everyone is okay!!! We had our power, but when I came down stairs all the clocks were blinking...so sometime last night our power went out. Also a tornado hit our area...about 2 miles from our house. No damage to us, but my brother-in-laws new truck has some hail damage! Welcome to Oklahoma! haha!

Doggie Movie

For Easter my grandma bought Makenna 101 Dalmatians!! On Thursday I had some chores to do around the house so I put on the movie thinking it might distract her for a bit. No...it wasn't for just a bit! She sat down in her Mater chair and without a peep watched the entire movie. When it was over she started screaming at me, "I want my Doggie movie!" So I had to put it on again. When I had to turn it off because it was bed time...wow she yelled and screamed at me. Then yesterday she watched it probably 3 times in a row. And guess what....the first thing she did when she woke up this morning was ask for her doggie movie! Tyler and I, for the first time, were happy to put Spongebob back on :). Although she was watching Bob....she was still asking for her doggie movie! haha...thanks grandma ;)

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Haha...Like father like daughter!

Kenna loves riding daddy's cycle! "motorcycle"

Kenna in her pretty Easter dress from Grammy Larsen!

Our fun family photo. Every time we tried to get a good shot with Kenna she would do something goofy!

Kenna's Easter Load!! Thanks Grammy Caferine, Grammy Larsen and Great Grandma Gloria!
Kenna with her ducky sippy cup!
Word Yo! haha. Kenna in her Mater Chair with her Lighting McQueen car in one hand, a barbie in the other and her ducky cup on the floor!
Hello...I'm Dr. Makenna Larsen...Can I check your blood pressure and listen to your heart?? haha!

So....It was a success. This was our first Easter that we were mostly alone. We got up this morning and did the Easter gifts and an Easter egg hunt in the living room. Makenna would find an egg, shake it, and if she couldn't hear anything she would throw it down and say empty and continue looking for the eggs with candy inside! After all that excitement we got Kenna all dressed up in her dress and ready for church! She loves to go to church to play with her friends in nursery. After we got her all dressed she was so happy and said, "I go to church. I play with my friends. I like nursery!" It's so cute.
Also...today was our first holiday dinner by ourselves and I did all the cooking. I know...I am still in shock too! haha. I made a turkey, well not a whole one, it was just the turkey breast with ribs! But I cooked it and it was moist and very good. I also made my Grandma's apple jello, my Mom's spinach, Jan's potatoes, and for dessert.....cheesecake from Wal-mart with fresh strawberries! Oh what a day. I am so proud of myself for making an edible turkey on my first try! I think Tyler was a little surprised too! I think he was ready to go do take-out if things didn't go right! haha! I do have to say...this was a great Easter!!!

Marker Pictures!

These are the pictures from when Makenna ate the marker! haha! Look at her hands and mouth!

Holy Moly!

Holy Moly!! My kid is crazy!! So lately she has been into just about everything. She loves to color. Last night I let her help me color on some Easter cards. Tonight we put her in her highchair and gave her some markers and paper. Being 2 years old...I kind of expected that she would try to color herself...which she did. She kept most of the coloring to the paper and every once in awhile I would catch her coloring her hand. I will tell her NO and she would go right back to the paper. Well... I didn't check on her for about 5 minutes and when I went back I found markers that had no tips!!! :)  My kid had chewed off the tips of the markers! Her mouth was blue, green and pink! I couldn't believe it! Thank goodness for non-toxic markers. -- I will put some pictures up later!
Also today Tyler came up to the office and had his teeth cleaned! Afterwards we stuck Makenna in the chair. Kenna let Keri polish her teeth and look around for a bit. She even liked Mr. Slurpee (the suction). It was so cool. I can't wait to take her back for her first "real" dental visit!!

What a Girl!!

Wow... Makenna has changed so much over the past month! She is no longer my little baby girl. She is a little girl, not a baby! She has been talking so well. She now knows all the names of her aunts and uncles and her grandparents. She says, "Grammy Caferine, Papa Barry, Grammy Larsen and Papa Larsen!" I love it. She says words like, "rhinoceros and oklahoma city!" Every morning she wakes up she asks for daddy then right away says, "daddy's at school. daddy's school is far away!" She wants to ride Tyler's cycle (motorcycle) all the time. She loves to dance and jump. She also loves to read. We sit and read books forever each day! We read Dr. Seuss books and Dora books.
Because Tyler's parents are going out of town... Makenna got her Easter presents early. One of her gifts was a lawn chair that has Mater and Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars on it. She calls it her Mater chair. Well... the neighbor girls were over and they were playing in the backyard. Makenna has usually been alright with sharing until today. She had a hard time sharing her Dora bike and her scooter, but when little Mia sat in her Mater Chair she flipped out!!! Kenna screamed bloody murder at her and said Get out of my Mater chair!! I could not believe it! Mia was shocked too! Sorry Mia. I guess it was the last straw.

Incredible Pizza

Makenna loves riding on horses!
Climbing through the milkshake!
Brooks and Yaden on the choo choo!
Kenna loves choo choo trains!
Yummy...Ice cream!
Chowin' down!
Brooks enjoyed his cheese pizza!
Diego and Dora were on a huge t.v.! The kids were in heaven!
Watching Diego!

Kenna and I went to Incredible Pizza with my friend Laurie and her grandkids, Yaden and Brooks! Incredible Pizza is kind of like Chuckie Cheese! Makenna had a fun time playing with Brooks and Yaden. She also chowed down on 2 whole pieces of pizza and the toppings of 2 other pieces of pizza! She ate a handful of noodles, drank half of a watermelon slushie and half a cup of ice cream! haha....what a cow! We had a blast! Thanks Laurie!!!

Our New T.V.

8251544_ra.jpg
After months and months of being bugged to get one.... I finally did. Yesterday, while Tyler was at school, I went down to Best Buy and bought a t.v.! Tyler had no idea that I was doing it! We had a rather large tax refund this year and figured we could spend a little bit of it on a new t.v. since ours was a little ancient! With the help of my brother-in-law Steve... I was able to get it all set-up in the house and ready for when Tyler got home from school! When he finally got home... he didn't go into the living room. He just stayed in the kitchen talking to me. I was getting so frustrated because I wanted him to see my surprise! So about 10 minutes later he finally went into the living room. He stopped and screamed, "Holy Crap!" He then started jumping like a 3 year old in a candy store and was so happy. His reaction was priceless!
