Roll Over!!

Haha...Makenna rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time last night. I put her to bed and like an hour she started crying. I went in to check on her and she was on her tummy and stuck in the corner of her crib. Today...everytime we put her on the floor on her back she rolls over onto her tummy. She gets so frustrated because she wants to crawl but she doesn't know how...its funny!!!

Makenna's 4 month check-up

Yesterday I took Kenna to the dr. and she weighed 14 1/2 pounds and was 25 1/2 inches long. She is in the 75% for weight and 95% for height. We are going to have a volleyball player on our hands. She got her shots and we were so proud of her. She did so well. She is such a big girl. We love her so much and just love to give her lots of hugs and kisses. The dr. says she looks great and told us to baby proof the house quick because she thinks Kenna will be crawling any day now. She is also teething. Her top 2 and bottom 2 teeth are coming in!! Yikes!!

We went swimming that morning and came home and Makenna totally crashed. She likes to sleep in her swing. But lately she has been rolling over on her side in bed and in her swing. She was trying to roll over here.
She is all smiles here too!!

Thomas Family!

Hey...well just an update on my family! My dad is doing really well. He is going back to work tomorrow. Not full-time but he will eventually get there. My mom is as busy as ever. You would think with 2 kids out of the house and 2 driving kids at home she would have more time...wrong! Brandon is still working like crazy in Utah. I'm still getting used to being a mom! Michael is getting ready to leave for the MTC...he has to be there May 31st. Steven just went to prom last night and is excited to go to BYU in a year! Tyler...well I don't know what is going on with him...he doesn't like to talk to me. And Christy is going to school and hanging out with all her friends. My Tyler...my hubby...is excited for this coming week to be over because its finals week. He graduates on Dec. 16, 2006. Makenna is going crazy on us. Don't know if she is teething or what but man...she is cranky!

Steven!!

Well...My little brother Steven....I guess he isn't so little anymore...Just committed to play football for BYU!!! He was offered a full-ride scholarship to BYU. He hasn't signed anything yet because he can't do that until he is a senior. But he has committed to play. You can check out his interview on www.scout.com. Click on Brigham Young University then under "latest stories" click Thomas commits to BYU. Also you can find an article in the Deseret News newspaper online. CONGRATS STEVEN!!

Look at me! I'm huge!! haha...just kidding. She is growing so big. We don't find out how much she weighs until the beginning of May at her 4 month appt.

Here is our little girl...just chilling. We have play time on the floor everyday! Her hair is getting longer and lighter. She has fuzzy hair now...haha!

Michael's Mission Call

My brother Michael got his mission call today!! He is going to the Canada Edmonton Mission!! Pretty cool huh? He will speak English and he has to report to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah on May 31!! Congrats Mike!!

Another Step Forward!!

Last week my dad was cleared by the doctor to have liquids!! He was finally able to drink a diet coke and have a great big glass of water. Pretty cool huh?? He is still on the feeding tube to make sure he gets adequate nutrition and take his pills. He can't have liquids and solids together yet though....like chicken noodle soup. And he can't have things like a subway sandwich that has alot of different consistencies. So a little confusing but yea!! I think I am more excited for him than he is for himself...haha. His body kind of had a jolt from the diet coke. Can you imagine not having any caffiene for over 3 months!!! Then having a diet coke...haha. Well its a new thing.

Haha...Makenna just loves to be naked now. It is so funny. We just strip her down to her diaper and she loves it!

YEAH!!

Well...more news about my dad. He had a dr.'s appt. yesterday and the doctor cleared him to eat some more foods. He can eat a little bit thicker foods than he was eating and a bit thinner foods. He can ice cream and jello now. The doctor says that there is a good possibility that he will be eating everythin...even liquids...by Easter Sunday! How awesome would that be?? To have Easter dinner....all the trimmings? Well just keep him in your prayers...hopefully he will be able to enjoy his Easter meal!

My Dad!!

Well I have been slacking. I haven't put an update of my dad up in awhile. Well...things are progressing. He had a swallow test last week and passed. That is good news. The doctor started him on applesauce, yogurt, pureed fruit and mashed potatoes. He still has the feeding tube to supplement with the canned food and to be able to have water. He can't have liquids or foods like ice cream or popsicles that will melt too fast. I guess liquids will be that last thing he will be able to have. This week they talked about starting him on foods like scrambled eggs and casserole type foods. So its pretty exciting. Can you believe he really hasn't eaten anything by mouth in over 3 months?? That is crazy. But prayers have been answered and he is doing much better. His vocal cord is still paralyzed and he can't talk very well but he is doing therapy to help that.

Makenna likes to lay on her tummy and push herself up. She likes to look around and smile. We try and do tummy time every night. She keeps pushing against the floor like she wants to crawl!!

Haha... Makenna has gotten so chubby!! She is our BIG little girl! I can't believe how much she has grown. She is starting to grow out of some of her 0-3 month clothes and move into a few of her 3-6 month clothes!! I guess she is eating well!

Uh Oh! It's the wrath of Makenna...she wasn't very happy. She has been really cranky lately!! She is already a drama queen and she is only 2 months old. Tyler says, "She is such a girly girl!" hahaha!!

Makenna finally decided to take a nap with mommy. She usually only naps with her daddy!

Boo Hoo!!

Our poor little girl had to get her shots today at her 2 month check up. She screamed like I have never heard her scream before. It made me so sad. Her daddy had to hold her...I couldn't stand to see her so upset. To calm her down I had to feed her and then she fell asleep and has been sleeping like all day. The doctor says she looks great. She weighs 11 pounds and 13 1/2 ounces. She is 23 1/2 inches long and is in the 75% for weight and height. Pretty crazy!!
