Bryn's Hands

For those of you who have asked about the surgery they will do on Bryn...here is a website where you can see pictures of what it looks like. It is a graphic with stitches. Well at least for me.
Bryn has Thumb Hypoplasia Type 5...meaning complete absence of the thumb. There are 5 different types of Thumb Hypoplasia.
We have talked to a dr. here in Oklahoma and also hope to talk to a dr. down in Dallas. We are waiting on an appt. with the dr. in Dallas.

Wow...that is just amazing that they can do that. So is that something that will definitely happen, or are you waiting to find out? It's great that it looks like minimal scaring as they get older.

That is amazing!

I loved seeing her asleep in your arms at church today...even if it is a rare occurrence. ;)

I just noticed that you became a follower of my blog. I am excited that you were led here, and I hope that you find encouragement while reading it. My daughter is 20 months old and had pollicization almost 4 months ago through Scottish Rite. We are so happy with the results and are reminded every day that we made the right decision. We had a second opinion in OKC before deciding to do the surgery in Dallas, and we were told they have the best doctors at Scottish Rite. Please feel free to comment back and let me know if you have any questions. We are praying for your sweet Bryn.
