No...I do NOT beat my Child!!

OMG!!!! We were at my mom's house watching t.v. Makenna was showing off her wonderful dancing skills and lost her balance. She fell over and hit my mom's glass coffee table and then hit the tile floor. When I picked her up her eyelid was totally swollen and bruised. Earlier that day she had hit the same spot on the bench and church. It looked like it hurt really bad. She wouldn't let us hold ice on it. She did let us give her a popsicle though!

We went to Olive Garden one of the last nights I was there. Makenna ate 2 whole breadsticks and almost her bowl of spaghetti. She was a hungry little girl.

California Traffic!

Driving home from the beach was insane. We left at 4pm and sat in total traffic. luckily we were able to take the fast track lanes and bypass some of that but man....I forgot how bad traffic was!

My little sister graduated the 6th grade last week. She looked so pretty in her dress. I can't believe my little sister is going to be in the 7th grade!

California!!

Makenna and I got to come down to California for 2 weeks. Unfortunately...Tyler had to stay back in Oklahoma for school. We miss him!!! But Kenna and I are having fun. My little brother Steven just graduated from high school on Wednesday night. My little sister Christy is graduating from the 6th grade on Thursday!!! When we get back home I'll post some pictures of our trip!

Dinner!

haha. Tonite we had lasanga for dinner. Makenna ate most of it. For dessert we gave her oreos. She was tired so with her messy hands she rubbed her eyes. She is so funny. I grabbed the camera to take a picture and I said. "say cheese!" and she smiled real big. She is such a ham!

Kenna's new Glasses!

Makenna loves her new sunglasses. We bought them at Wal-mart because she wanted to be like mommy and daddy and wear glasses. She has been wearing them 24/7! She is so fun!

It's a Miracle!!

Haha...Guess what my child did tonight?? She ate broccoli! I couldn't believe it. She usually just spits it out, but tonight she ate it! I had made some broccoli stuffed chicken. She climbed up on the couch and sat next to me wanting food. She had already eaten her dinner. So I thought I would give her some broccoli because I knew she wouldn't eat it and then leave me in peace to eat dinner....haha. But much to my surprise she ate the broccoli and kept coming back for more. It was awesome!! See the things you get excited about when you are a mom!!

Our Car

This is our car. We bought it back in December. It was a used car but it was in really good condition with low miles. It is a mazda 3. We love it. This is "our" first car. We bought it together! It's pretty exciting for us. I promised a long time ago that I would put a picture up...so 6 months later....here it is!

Good Job Tyler!!

Tyler called me from school today to let me know what he got on his first test! He got a 99 out of 100. That is so awesome. He has really put the time into studying. He is so smart! Makenna and I are so proud of him! Good job honey!! He has another test tonight!!

Ice!!

After we went swimming Makenna wanted ice!! She loves to carry around her own little cup of ice!!! She is a crazy girl!

Memorial Weekend!

Yup...another bump. Kenna tripped over a pillow and fell right into a table. I picked her up and tried to comfort her and when I put her down...she turned around and looked and Tyler and had this huge bump on her head. So not only does she have her birthmark...she has this ugly bruise too!!! Poor Kenna!

We went up to the lake on Friday! We took Kenna out on the boat on Sat. morning. She thought it was pretty neat. But when Tyler got in the water to wakeboard she started crying. She thought he was being hurt...being a drug behind the boat. haha...kids are so funny!! We stayed until Sunday and then drove home!

For Memorial Day we went swimming. Kenna had a lot of fun!! Tyler also cooked up some really good steaks for us with grilled pineapple and grilled onions on the side. MMMM!!!

Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. This was my 2nd mother's day and a good one at that. Tyler got up and made me a smoothie for breakfast. He also gave me 2 cards, 4 lotto scratchers and the Jason Aldean CD. Of course...I am so unlucky so I didn't win anything on the scratchers but it was fun to try! We also got to talk to Tyler's brother Dallin and my brother Michael!! It was awesome to get to talk to them. We went to church this morning and then went to Tyler's mom's house for lunch. Then we came home and spent some time together as a family before Tyler starts school tomorrow!!!!

School Starts Monday!!!

Tyler starts school on May 14th...that is this Monday!! He has decided to go to Oklahoma City University!! He is going to do a joint degree...the JDMBA. That is a law degree and a masters in business administration degree. It will take him the 3 years...same as just doing the law degree. He will be taking 12 business credits this summer, then taking his first 2 semesters of law school, then taking 12 more credits of business next summer and then finishing up with 4 more semesters in law. Haha...pretty crazy huh?! But he is very very smart and I know he will do very well!! He also loves to learn!! He also got a scholarship to go to OCU...so that helps. He got a scholarship for both programs. That really helps cut down on some of the tuition costs!! We are so proud of you Tyler!! Makenna and I love you very much and look forward to supporting you in this new adventure!!!

Finally!!

We finally have 3 molars that have popped through the gums! I can't believe how long it has taken. So we only have one more to go. YEA!!!! Teething is hard on both the child and the parents!! :)

I'm Silly!

Makenna loves putting on clothes. A few of her favorites are her mommy's shirts and her aunt's underwear :)! But the other day...Tyler left his shorts on the floor. Makenna started getting whiny and I looked over and she was stuck in his short leg. She had crawled through the leg of his shorts and then couldn't figure out how to get out of them! I told you should would do anything!

Makenna was trying to use her little car to climb up the bookcase. She pushed the car over and would stand on top of it and try and scale up the bookcase. She has no fear. She wants to climb on everything and anything. She has learned to crawl up on our dining room chairs. So if they are not pushed up under the table she will climb on them and onto whatever is next to them. What a silly little girl!

Makenna loves to go sit behind the blinds. The other day I caught her sticking her arms and legs through them. She loves looking outside. She is nuts!!
