Blowing up leaves!
Spring break was March 19-23, 2012. We decided to take off to the lake house with friends for the week. It rained pretty much Monday night-Thursday except for maybe Wednesday afternoon. What's better than road tripping and spending the week with your biffle!? Jenn and I drove up with the kids on Monday. We loaded up the cars, in the pouring rain, and took off on the 3 hr. drive to the lake. We we hung out and let the kids play that night and did chalk. Tuesday we took the kids to Gambino's for lunch, colored our coloring books and hung out inside because it rained. Wednesday morning we took the kids out to play in the rain and mud. Wednesday afternoon we were able to ride bikes outside and play with chalk. The kids also were able to make shirts by ironing on a design and coloring it. Thursday we ventured off to the Tulsa aquarium. At the aquarium the kids were able to touch baby sharks, sting rays, horseshoe crabs, shrimp and turtles. We saw the sharks, fed the turtles and the stingrays. Friday we rode bikes outside and had an easter egg hunt and decorated easter egg cards. Friday night Tyler, Chris, Star and baby Lakely joined us. Saturday we went to feed the fish, went to gambinos for lunch, did scooter rides, blew up leaves in the front yard with gasoline and lighters and hung out. Sunday we did scooter rides and packed up and drove home. We had a great week. The kids loved being able to play together and it was a fun week with my biffle. I am looking forward to more trips to the lake this summer. I am thankful that my in-laws are so generous to let us use their vacation home!
