Makenna's Open House

Tonight Makenna had open house at her school. She got to show me all her artwork, her portfolio, all the different centers and read me some books. Kenna loves to read and was so excited to read me some books. Her teacher says that she reads aloud the morning message everyday by herself. It sounds like she is one of few kids in her class that are already learning to read. Kenna loves her teacher and is so excited about her class. She was able to tell me all about the class rules and walk me through what they do in the day. It is so strange to see my baby in school. As I was walking outside while she was showing me where they line up to go home, I had the thought of when I used to go with my mom to my little bros and sis open houses. Sometimes I still feel like I am playing house. I can't be old enough to have a 5 year old can I?! :)
