Bryn's New Thumb
She is doing so awesome. Her hand still has quite a bit of swelling. The dr. said that is perfectly normal and that the swelling could stick around for a few months. He was very pleased with how her hand looks and with how it is healing. We have been massaging the tissue to help break up the scar tissue and her thumb moving. We have seen it move a little bit more over the past few days, but it is not consistent. We are very happy with how it looks. Please remember that these pictures were taken last week. It was 4 weeks post surgery. But it still looks amazing and we are so proud of Bryn and her strength!

That is so amazing!
I've been amazed, in looking at other pictures of the same procedure, that an index finger can look so much like a thumb. In looking at Bryn's pictures, I would have never guessed that she was born without a thumb. I'm so happy everything is going well, and I'm sure I will continue to be completely impressed by the whole process and outcome.
That is so amazing! How great for Bryn to be able to have that procedure. I'm glad that it all went so well and that she is recovering well too
Modern technology is such a miracle! I am so glad to hear that her thumb is healthy and doing great !
Wow! That is fabulous! I'm so glad that she's doing so well. I can't believe the emotional stress you went through watching the change, but what a blessing to have a thumb!
Her thumb looks sooo good. I would never had known that was done surgically. That is fantastic. I am so glad everything went so well. She is growing up so much!
