Today
Today I am grateful for 2 awesome children. I find it kind of funny that after the day they had that I am still so in love with them. :) It is the first day of summer and the girls were up at 5:45am. (I am SO NOT a morning person). Tyler told them to go back to sleep, but the Bryn started kicking the wall. I was exhausted. Then all morning all they did was fight. Bryn wouldn't listen to me at all and just did whatever she wanted to do. Makenna seriously talked non-stop all day. Needless to say, they were getting on my nerves. I put them to bed and relaxed for a bit. As I sat here reflecting on some past events in our family, I couldn't help realize how blessed I am to have my little girls. My kids are the most frustrating, amazing, hard, enjoyable thing that has ever happened in my life. Bryn's little life has not been an easy one, but it has been so rewarding. To watch her use her hands and be so determined in all she does, makes me smile. She has spunk like no other child. Yet, she can be the sweetest thing. She is concerned for others and loves to cuddle with me. Makenna is so smart and amazes me daily with her reading. I'm so proud of her willingness to learn. She cried on the last day of school because she didn't want it to end. When I asked her why she said, "I am going to miss homework and having fun in class." There are days I call my mom and ask if she wants a 3 or 6 year old and that I'll ship them for free. Of course she always says yes! But, truth is, I couldn't do it. I love to see my girls do well in all they do. I am so excited to watch them grow into strong, independent, beautiful young women. I am not quite sure why it has hit me so hard tonight, but I just felt the need to express how much I love my little girls.

Potty Trained / Big Girl Bed
On May 1st, Bryn, me and my best friend went shopping out at Target. My best friend was looking for underwear for her little boy. She wasn't going to start training him, but wanted to put the idea in his head. While we were there Bryn wanted to buy some undies. So we bought some Dora undies and then went home. She laid down for her nap and woke up and told me she didn't want to wear a diaper anymore and she wanted to wear 'panties.' I was hesitant because she never went potty consistently on the toilet. Well she wanted to wear them so bad I wasn't going to turn her down. She had a couple accidents over the next few days, but nothing major. It's now been over about 2 weeks and she is doing great. The only accident in the past week was last night in the middle of the night. She has been doing great. She loves her big girl panties. Her favorite are her minnie mouse ones. Potty training has been so Super easy for both my girls and I am so appreciative of that. They are so awesome.
A couple days after Bryn started wearing undies, I changed her crib into a big girl bed. She now has a little twin bed. She loves it! She has been 'trained' as well as her sister to stay in her bed until I get her. She wakes up saying, 'Mommy, I awake!' 'Mommy, wake up!' It is hilarious. I'm really sad to not have a little baby anymore, but Bryn is growing up to be an amazing little girl!

Mother's Day 2012
I'm so lucky to have these two little girls. Yes, they give me headaches and frustrations, but I love them to pieces. They are so funny, sweet and cuddly. I enjoyed Mother's Day. We went to my best friends house and ate dinner with her family, her parents and Tyler's parents. It was good food and good company. I'm so glad to have two little girls. I was afraid to have girls at first, but I guess the Lord knew me better than I did. I'm grateful to share my life with them to be able to teach them.

Touch A Truck 2012
The girls standing on the truck that towed Tyler's car
School Bus
I hope this is the first and last time I see the girls in the back of a police car
Fire Truck
I also hope this is the last time they are in an ambulance as well
Makenna tightening the lug nuts
Kenna in a race car
Jenn with the kids
The girls love going to the annual touch-a-truck event. They love to see all the big vehicles and climb through them. I think their favorite part is honking the horn. There are also a lot of giveaways and the girls love collecting candy, magnets, stickers, bags and water bottles. We had a good time
