Today we had the awesome opportunity of meeting Catherine, Brad and Amelia Thompson. They are from Texas and I met them online. I found Catherine's blog a few months ago. Her daughter was born with radial dysplasia and had the pollicization surgery that Bryn is probably going to have. (The surgery where the dr. moves the index down into the thumb position.) We haven't decided 100% yet if we are going to do it, but we are about 90% sure we are. Catherine and her husband are originally from Oklahoma and came back up to visit family. We were able to meet them for lunch and see their daughters hand in person. It was so awesome to see her move her thumb and see how she used it. She is 22 months old. She had the surgery done when she was 16 months old. She has scaring, but that is normal with any surgery. You have to give her hand a double take to even notice she only has 3 fingers and a thumb. It was so awesome. It made me feel really good about wanting to do the surgery. Their family is so sweet and so helpful with all of our quesitons. Amelia is such a sweetheart! We hope that we can get together again.

3 year olds!
Tonight we went over to Tyler's parents house for dinner. During dinner Makenna said she needed to go potty and didn't want any help. So she went into the potty and was in there for awhile. I had Tyler go in and check on her and this is what happened!
Tyler: Makenna what are you doing?
Makenna: Reading the newspaper on the potty...go away!
Haha...He opened the door to Makenna sitting on the toilet reading the best buy ads. It was hilarious. What 3 year olds learn from their daddies. Haha...Tyler always takes in reading material!

They Grow Up So Fast!

The dr. gave her spongebob band-aids...it was perfect!

The girls had their well-child check-ups yesterday. Brynlee had her 2 month and weighed 9 lbs. 12 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches long. She is in the 10% for weight and 34% for height...so needless to say she is tiny. She got shots also. She did really well. Of course she screamed bloody murder, but it didn't take long to calm her down and she slept for a long time after. Her legs are sore, but giving her a little bit of tylenol helps! Makenna had her 3 year and weighed 31 lbs. and was 37 inches tall! She is in the 50% for weight and 42% for height. I have small girls! The dr. said both girls looked great. Bryn does need to go have physical therapy on her neck. She has really tight muscles on her left side that pulls her head down. I am so glad we have such a great pediatrician. He sat and talked with us forever and answered all my questions. I am paranoid about the girls and he never made me feel like I was stupid for the questions I had. I'm glad Bryn is at least growing. She may be tiny, but she is steadily putting on the weight. She loves to smile and has been a pretty good baby lately. For about 5 nights she slept amazing...8pm-5am. But the past few nights...no matter what...she is up at 1:30am. Oh well.

Tornados!!!
So this was the first time I have ever totally freaked out about a storm. We were told to get in our shelter and stay there. We got in and the first storm passed...then we came out. A few minutes later a stronger storm came and we got back in! Now we are watching the news just waiting for all the storms to pass. We had golf ball size hail...I have never seen hail that big before. I got both the girls and went under our stairway. That is the safest place in our home. You are supposed to go in the most center part of your home on the lowest floor away from windows. About 3-4 miles north and 1 mile west of us was hit pretty hard. It is a really nice neighborhood on the golf course that was hit really bad. It is so scary! Hopefully we will continue to be safe overnight. February is not a month where we really have tornados. May is usually the best month for them. My cousin lives a few miles away and she is without power because the power lines all by her house are down. Super scary!

Right Now
So this probably won't happen again tomorrow or even last extremely long tonight...but Bryn has been happy hanging out in her swing now for about 30 minutes! I can't believe it. She has never been this happy just chilling on her own ever! Plus...she NEVER liked her swing...not even for a minute!
Also...the dr. had a start a new formula with Bryn today to see if it would help with her throwing up, upset tummy and constipation. But guess what? It smells horrible. I know formula doesn't smell great, but at least the GoodStart was tolerable. This new kind stinks SOOOO bad. Poor Bryn. I hope it helps her tummy though! I can't stand to see her in so much pain!

Emotions
Man... exhaustion can do a lot of things to a person. My parents came into town Saturday afternoon for Bryn's blessing. They left this morning. Saturday and Sunday night we were up late visiting. Of course...shortly after I would go to bed Bryn would wake up and want to eat. Seeing family is always so fun so it is sad to see them go. It was a bummer to take them to the airport this morning. Also with being so tired and run down I have just cry at the drop of a hat. I took Bryn to the dr. this morning because she was not breathing real good yesterday and was throwing up and I cried at the dr.'s office. I cried when I dropped my parents off...I cried at an appt today and all through Wal-Mart. I think I am emotionally and physically run down. Plus...just started a new medicine that is making me emotional! Ugh...I am looking forward to the day that Bryn might sleep a little longer at night!
Ps...Blessing pictures to come!
