3 Weeks

3 weeks from today will be the end of Tyler's schooling adventure. He graduates from law school with his J.D.M.B.A (Law Degree and Master of Business Administration)! I can't believe it is only 3 weeks away. He is almost done taking finals, going to classes and having to study...well kind of! He will have to study really hard from May 17th-July 28. He takes the Oklahoma Bar July 27th and 28th. Life is getting ready to change in our house! It is exciting, stressful and a little scary!

Trying To Take Some Good Ones

Funny girls
This is what she did most of the time...runaway

Silly Bryn
Peeking through the fence
Only way to get a true happy face is to get her talking!

Bryn's "Seriously Mom?" Look!

I have had a nice camera for a few years. I have been trying to learn how to use and take good photos of my kids. I spent a lot of time yelling at the kids today to try and get a few good shots. :) Thank goodness they are so cute because I was able to get at least a few before loosing my mind!

I Must Be Doing Something Right

It's funny how the little things make you so proud. Bryn does not want to talk. She doesn't think it is useful. She yells all sorts of jibberish all the time, but she won't ever speak a word. I do know that she is understanding what I am saying. Before dinner and at bed time we say prayers. When we ask Bryn to fold her arms for prayers she does! It is awesome. I love it. It makes me so happy to see that she is comprehending things.

Bryn

Yeah!

I have tried quite a few times to french braid Makenna's hair. She has such long beautiful hair and I love to style it! I can do all sorts of cool things except french braid. Today Makenna got about 2.5 inches cut off of her hair. My cousin Shae did it. While we were there she said it would make it easier to braid now that it was shorter. I joked with her and said, well teach me how to braid because I don't know how too! Well I got home and thought...hec...I haven't tried in awhile, I should try. And much to my surprise...It turned out okay! I need a lot more practice, but for a first time, all by myself...I say it was pretty good!!! Also...I was not trying to make the part straight! I know...what a dorky thing to be proud of, but I was really happy!

Surgery Scheduled

Bryn's second surgery is finally scheduled. It is set for May 25, 2010. Unfortunately it is about a month later than we expected. I was not very happy about the date. But the nurse said nothing could be done because the hospital was booked for early morning/long cases. I had her put me on the list for cancellations. So if anyone cancels they will give me a call. I am excited to have a date and am ready for Bryn to have both of her thumbs. She is one of the coolest little kids I know and I want her to have the opportunity to do all the same things other kids do. As of now...her surgery is May 25th!
Ps....Tyler graduates May 16th!! :)

Easter (Night Before)

Der Easter Bunny. I love you. Makenna
The Easter Bunny's food and water.
Tonight Kenna, Bryn and I read the story of Jesus death and also his resurrection. Tyler was at conference. Then Bryn went down to bed and Makenna and I colored Easter eggs. Then I asked her what kind of treat she wanted to leave for the Easter bunny.

Kenna: I want to leave him a Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Me: Why?
Kenna: Because you like them and Ryder likes them so the Easter bunny will like them.
Me: Okay. What about carrots?
Kenna: Oh yea...those too. Bryn can give him the carrots!

Then we wrote the Easter bunny a letter. Makenna had to have one that she wrote too. She got her and Bryn's basket out and put them on the fireplace.

After we made the PB & J sandwich, I cut it in half. She said,
Kenna: I know why you are cutting it in half.
Me: Why?
Kenna: Because the Easter bunny has a kid and he will be hungry too. So the Easter bunny will eat one half and his kid will eat the other!
Me: (trying not to laugh) Okay. What does the Easter bunny want to drink? Milk or water?
Kenna: Water. Milk makes him choke!

Kids are funny!

Easter Dresses

Our church holds a conference 2 times a year where they broadcast it on t.v. We are able to hear the Prophet and other leaders of our church speak and give guidance and counsel. This year it just so happened that conference is tomorrow (Easter Sunday). So last Sunday we dressed the girls up in their Easter dresses to wear to church. The are so adorable. Too bad Bryn wanted to everything, but take a picture!

Driving

The girls love to go riding in Kenna's jeep. I am so glad it is a 2 seater. Makenna is a crazy driver. Bryn is constantly banging her head forward and backward with Kenna's crazy driving. A little while ago, Kenna went "off roading" and Bryn fell out on her head. So this time, Bryn had a helmet on. Haha. I love how she bends her arm to hold onto the roll bar! I love these girls.

Makenna's Latest Fall

Last Sunday Makenna was trying to do a back flip on the bar on the back of Bryn's high chair. Well...while she was trying to flip, she grabbed the release bars by accident and the whole thing folded up and toppled on top of her. It pinched her forehead leaving a nice gash and big bump. Thank goodness there was no blood though.

Soccer Pictures

Makenna was all done up for soccer pictures. The team was taking team pictures after their soccer game last Saturday. Unfortunately, it was freezing outside and most of the kids were super cranky after the game. The parents all decided that we weren't going to buy professional pictures anyways...so we left. We decided someone would bring their camera and take pictures of the kids after another game when they were more happy. So since she was already done up...I snapped some individual pictures of her when we got home!

Silly Bryn

Bryn loves food. She is always eating. She eats almost anything. One of her favorites is Nilla Wafers. She also holds tight to either her Minnie or Bunny. She is such a funny little girl!
